Are you moving here from out of the area?

It can seem daunting to know where to start with searching for homes in a completely unfamiliar area.  When I meet with clients who are moving here, I typically ask these kinds of questions:

  • Is your move due to a new job? If so, where will you be working?
  • How close of a commute will you prefer with your new home?
  • Do you have children? Are you familiar with the various school districts in Western Washington, and what are your preferences?
  • Will your decision also be based upon an available place of faith or worship?
  • Do you prefer or require a single level home?
  • Will you want to live closer in the city, or would you prefer a more rural location?
  • Will you be buying with cash from a current home sale?

My goal when we communicate is to have a solid understanding of what is most important to you.  The more I know about your interests, the better I can help serve them.  And it’s never too early to start – even if your plans are not coming together for several months, or even years down the road.

When you are purchasing a home, nothing beats working with local providers – especially mortgage brokers.  If your plans include getting pre-approved for a mortgage, I highly recommend that you choose to work with a local lender in this area.  When you are here and negotiating on the purchase of a home, using a lender who is local to the area will give you an added advantage over competing buyers.  I will provide you with a list of several experienced lenders in the area that can help you.

I would like to start by mailing you a welcome packet which contains a plethora of information about this area.  Please take the time to register below.
